May 21,  2001: The inauguration of the Arthurtown Community Library was held at Noon today at the Arthurtown Community Center. Representatives of Hand Middle School, The United Way, The Columbia Urban League, The Arthurtown Community,  Shandon Cluster of Churches, and Reading is Power International attended the event.

May 16,  2001: Volunteers built two bookcases to house the books for the library.

May 12,  2001: Added pictures of  the Before School Volunteers, the Book Fair, the Arthurtown Community, and Community Service Day to the  Project Pictures page. Added pictures of the volunteers to the Thanks page.

May 7,  2001: The site was updated with a project overview written by Brenna Bernardin and the names of all the volunteers that have helped on the project thus far.

May 5, 2001: We had a great turnout for "Community Service Day". A total of 30 people turned out to help, including students and staff from Hand Middle School, adults from Shandon United Methodist Church, and students and adults from the United Way. Thanks to all for your hard work, we processed approximately 500 books.

April 20, 2001: History of Arthurtown by Georgianna Puckett added to site.

April 3, 2001: Site updated with pictures from Arthurtown
